DIRECTOR
Ricardo Jaramillo

Ricardo’s unwavering dedication as a volunteer spans an impressive fifty years. His contributions to the community are remarkable. He selflessly serves at his church. He has also led over 150 wheelchair ramp builds. Recognition from the Marines and his service as a Christian missionary all speak volumes about his fervent commitment. After 23 years of honorable service, Ricardo retired from the Marine Corps. His loving family includes four daughters, one son, seven grandchildren, and one cherished great-granddaughter.
God continues to bless Ricardo. On December 28, 2023, Ricardo became the legal guardian of his granddaughters, Gloria (17) and Judiana Jaramillo (14). They are both attending online school and will travel on mission trips with their grandfather. He loves teaching the way of our Lord and all the teaching that comes with being a ‘father’ again.
Ricardo does not claim to be a perfect man. He grapples with everyday challenges stemming from PTSD. He also deals with TBI resulting from a 2017 car accident. Despite his physical and mental hurdles, Ricardo endeavors to emulate Christ in his actions. He attempts to show Christlike affections. He acknowledges the uniqueness of the one perfect man who walked the Earth.
Hermano Ricardo has hilariously embraced the title of El Misionero Loco (EML). When trying to convey his current spiritual state to Pastor Victor, he found himself at a loss for words. Hermano Victor then playfully sent him a YouTube link to the song El Loco by Felipe Garibo. And that was it – Ricardo is officially crazy! Crazy for his Lord, his Savior, his redeemer, the One who walks with him. Unashamed, he chuckles at being labeled as crazy for giving up worldly ‘things’ to follow Him. So, go on, give it a listen and don’t forget to refer to me as El Loco Misionero: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ydWdkzlnsvE&ab_channel=AlabanzasparaelCorazón
Come join Ricardo on this mission to bring lost sheep to Christ’s fold. It will be a thrilling and very fulfilling journey.
