APRIL-MAY 2025 JAPAN EVENAGELISM MINISTRY TRIP

BTCA went to make disciples in Japan. The Word is known in Japan for a few. We seek to increase this number while visiting Osaka, Japan, and Naha, Japan. English is spoken by many Japanese, so, we do not expect translation issues.

We visited and attended services at New Hope Osaka. We met with Pastor James Hettinger and his congregation. It was an extraordinary meeting with fellow Christians of diverse backgrounds. The twenty donated Bibles were greatly appreciated and will be used for evangelism efforts. Each bible is a seed that will be planted. From there, it will multiply exponentially. This is in God’s Hands at this point. I spoke with a young lady who was born in Guatemala. Her parents have been and are now missionaries in Guatemala.

Expo 2025 Osaka is in full swing, and we attended to see how His Word is spread. I met a young man named Brandon from Guatemala. He was given a coin of the Armor of God. We reminisced about our time in Guatemala and exchanged contact information.

Oklahoma Goodwill Mission: July 2025

BTCA received word that a brother in Christ with stage 4 colon cancer required a wheelchair ramp. We traveled to Oklahoma to finance and build a ramp for him. This is yet more evidence that Jesus is at work in our lives. After many years of building ramps, He calls His servant into action. The servant fulfills His Word and serves Him. All glory to God and our Savior Jesus Christ.

A big thank you to Nori for her monetary donation. Also, thank you, Manuel, Ray, and Angela, for your help building the ramp. The ramp would not have been completed without your invaluable help.

Update 2025_0827: Robert Martinez, the ramp recipient, passed away on Wednesday, August 27, 2025. Robert’s battle with cancer was brutal on him and made it necessary to have a good functioning ramp. Robert will be dearly missed by all.

In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.

Matthew 5:16

Tuisoch, Huehuetenango, Guatemala Trip: April 4 through May 13, 2024.

  • What an exciting mission trip, glorifying our Lord
  • During the trip, I brought my two granddaughters, Gloria Ofelia Jaramillo (17) and Judiana Jossete Jaramillo (14). They were superb Missionaries In Training (MITs) and learned a great deal about serving our Lord Jesus Christ.
  • We were capable of setting up a Starlink internet connection for the residents
  • We conducted the following classes
    • English 101
    • English 102
    • Spanish 101
    • Spanish 102
    • Bible studies
  • We conducted two vegetable canning sessions with the following results:
  • NOTE: Due to the lack of cooling facilities, vegetables need to be consumed promptly after purchase to prevent spoilage. Visits to the market occur once every two weeks, leaving residents without access to fresh vegetables in between. Canning these vegetables provides necessary nutrition during these periods.
    • Tuisoch- 180 jars of green beans, tomatoes, salsa, and cucumbers
    • Huehuetenango: 80 jars of tomatoes, peppers, salsa, and cucumbers
  • We conducted a clinic for the residents and the surrounding area. We checked and documented the following:
    • Glucose check
    • Blood pressure check
    • During our next mission trip, we will add optical and dental checkups.
  • We hosted movie nights on Sundays with the residents. We utilized the projector and screen we had installed during our last trip. We provided snacks, and Pastor Carrillo gave a summary of the Christian movies we watched together.
  • We had game nights with the Carrillo family – Lotería!
  • On our way through Mexico, we provided supplies to the poor souls walking to the USA. We provided the following items:
    • Over 40 gallons of drinking water
    • Various snacks
    • A case of my favorite Diet Coke
    • On our way through Mexico in September, we will provide our fellow brothers with 120 blessing bags. The bags contain Gatorade, wipes, women’s sanitary pads, band aids, snacks, and cans of food.
  • Our trip was not without minor issues. The following are some of the inconveniences we encountered during our trip:
    • We got lost several times. The roads are not well marked, and we missed a few turns.
    • We had flats on the trailer and our car.
    • We ran out of gas. The gas stations are sparse, and I did not calculate mileage very well between refueling points.
    • Judiana became ill and was hospitalized for three days. She has recovered well and was ready to travel back to the USA in a healthy manner.
    • Because of Judiana’s illness, we had to extend our trip by one week. This allowed us to accomplish all the mission objectives.
  • We give all the glory to God. He accomplishes all these wonderful things with the help of an old man and two young ladies. Praise God!

January 18 thru February 22, 2024, BTCA Groundwork Mission

Achievements on the Path to Developing Self-Sustaining Families

  1. Ciber-Cafe Carrillo
    • Internet has been setup for village wide access
      • Four computers delivered, configured and setup
      • Printer/Scanner/Copier was configured and setup
      • A four-person workstation was built by residents of Tuisoch.
  2. Virtual Training Facility
    • The plan is to make Tuisoch a place where students aged 13-?? can go and continue their education.
    • The other option is to not continue their education.
  3. Increase worship attendance!
    • Speed up salvation seed planting.
      • This works by enticing neighbors to the village. Others will come to watch Christian-based movies. It provides an opportunity to witness to them.
      • This also works in conjunction with the internet cafe, where admins can monitor users.
  4. Retain the men in the village.
    • This will be accomplished by creating work-from-home jobs.
      • The other option is for them to sneak into el Norte.

There are plans to build a two-story facility. This will be used as follows:

  • Lodging for:
    • Visitors
    • Missionaries
    • Medical personnel
    • Tourists
    • Dignitaries
  • A pharmacy
  • Meeting place
