BTCA has partnered with Servicio-Oracio-Salvacion (S.O.S.) to assist in organizing evangelism events at sites BTCA visits during its ministry events. S.O.S is directed by hermana Esther in Huixtla, Chiapas, Mexico.
About Esther López Anzueto, director of Salvación – Oración – Servicio (SOS)
God placed a deep desire in my heart to serve others and share His Word, just as Jesus did. This desire was so strong and persistent that it never left me alone. I felt called not only to share the message but also to provide for the needs of those around me.
SOS began on December 23, 2016, with the goal of providing food to homeless people in Huixtla. That afternoon, only my nephews and I went out. There were 7 of us who started this ministry. Caleb, Levi, Alberto, Melchizedek, Daniela, Berenice, and me. They are the SOS pioneers, along with me, in this ministry. We went out into the streets on foot, carrying a cooler with water and cakes to give, and evangelism booklets. From that day on, I knew I needed to be a part of this movement, to do more for God’s work, and to make the gospel known to others.
We started with our own resources. And so, little by little, some others joined. We created a savings fund in which we contribute 20 pesos every 15 days to buy materials and supplies for evangelism. To this day, we support the project in this way, but we also have some people who contribute either financially or with spaces for children’s events.
I would like SOS to cover more places. We have supported churches in nearby places near Huixtla and have conducted outdoor activities for children on courts and in fields. We have also supported people in need with limited resources.
My idea is to extend the message of salvation to more people and in more places, and to help others develop their skills and find employment.
As in the case of sex workers, SOS would like to impart some trade or training that helps them to work and leave that place. Not only to them, but also to those who wish to learn, in this way, to be able to live and provide for their homes. Although this goal is still somewhat long-term, I am sure that with perseverance, persistence, and, above all, the help of God, who provides and opens doors, we can achieve it; that is my goal for the future, God willing.
2026 SOS Events
April 4, 2026 Evangelism Event (Anex)
On April 2, we went to an annex where there are people with different addictions: 15-year-old adolescents, young people, and some adults. We presented an evangelism drama, shared a reflection on Isaiah 53, and offered refreshments: cakes and water. We also gave them a gift in the form of a cross, inscribed with the biblical quote from St. John 3:16, and a candy inside, remembering that Jesus lives. At the end, we played games and dynamics with them. They asked us to come visit them and to share with them. Some asked forgiveness for their sins in prayer; God spoke into their lives again.

February 14, 2026 Evangelism Event (La Zona Rosa)
Good day, brothers and sisters in Christ. Today, I want to thank you for your prayers and share a brief testimony of the Evangelism activity on Saturday. It is called Zona Rosa because many bars are located there, and it’s the place where the sex workers are. God is really good, He opened the doors of these places so that we could enter and be able to share His word with these people, I believe that God spoke to their lives, many of them were crying during the reflection, others asked for prayer but all were attentive to the words, words spoken with love, with dedication and dedication to the work of God, words that highlighted God’s love for humanity and for them, words that pierced the hearts of these women and gave them the value and respect they deserve. We could see women hurting, wanting to be loved and valued, yet also needing God in their lives. Today, I can say with certainty that the word of God broke those hearts, and they were not empty. Now they know of a God who loves them and wants to transform their lives. God was present during this activity, and we believe He will complete the work. I appreciate your prayers, and please keep praying for them and for us so that we can continue to work and serve these people.
We gave them a cup with the biblical quote from St. John 3:16 inscribed on it. We wanted to give it to them because it is something they can keep and see every day, and thus remember that Jesus loves them.
Hermanas Mimi and Esther, hermanos Mario, Francisco, and Elías, and Pastor Solomon Salomón from Iglesia del Nazareno en Rancho Nuevo assisted. Other members of the group were also present.
Blessings, brothers and sisters, have an excellent day.
